Dine n dance

IALT:Reflect on a important night that we had.

Kia ora and greetings to you all last night we had a dine and dance last night it was fun.We had dine and dance for the year eights because we will be leaving next year.This dance was to share memories with the year sevens and our teachers.

One highlight I have was when everyone was dancing having fun and grooving to the music this was a night to remember all the memories that we have shared and created with all our peers and teachers.

This is a night to remember I will never forget the memories I made at dine n dance I will miss all the memories I made with all my peers,friends,others and teachers.But the best memory I made is when I came to dine n dance to spend the night with my year seven friends.

Kiwisports reflection

IALT:Reflect on what we did at kiwi sport.

Today we had kiwisport with coach allen.They run the program kelly sports at our school this week we had all types of activities they do in athletics.Kelly sports is teaching us what events and type of sports we have to do on athletics day.

Something I learnt while doing these different activities at Kiwisports.The type of activities I participated in was
Long jump,discus,long throw and high jump.We have been learning how to do these activities throughout the term.


Something that challenged my thinking today was how to do this activities the right way and how far they get you in the sport sometimes I just muck around but this really challenge my thinking in a really deep way.

Art-Symbols that represents me

IALT:Reflect on a task and think deeply about the task when reflecting

Today we were given a task.It was a simple task all you had to do is be creative and draw 4 different- symbols that represent you.

The four symbols that I chose to represent me was 

A maori koru

Sport balls for e.g:Football,Baseball and Basketball

A book and a pencil to represent how much education means to me.

The last symbol I used was a flag to represent my culture I chose this one because I connect heaps with this culture so I chose the scottish flag.

Something I learnt today was how I connect myself with art because I really thought about it and I was going to chose the flag I always chose and that was the maori flag but I chose this one to change it up.I am a lot of cultures for e.g:Maori,Cook Island,British,Irish,Scottish and many more.Something else that I have learnt is how to draw a scottish flag and how to be creative in art.

Something that really challenged my thinking was thinking about the symbol's that would represent my maori culture I was looking for some symbols to draw a found a new symbol that I have never seen before I was a koru but in a heart That was the most challenging thing to draw and it took some time and always remember for art its progression not perfection.

Wonder movie reflection.!

IALT:Reflect on a movie that we have studied about.

We have studied and read the book wonder for the last two terms.Today the 1'st of december we went to watch the movie.A short summary about the book wonder.There is a boy his name is auggie pullman he was treacher collins syndrome.He thought that he wasn't a ordinary kid but when he was going to school he started to each day that no child/kid is ordinary they are just themselves.

Something I enjoyed about the movie is how auggie met jackwill.Because he wasn't being nice at the start but jackwill realized that auggie was pretty funny and he was a good friend.

One part in the movie that I liked is when auggie stood his ground when these seventh graders stepped him out.As he saw Jack will get pushed he stood for himself and his friend.

Some key messages I think really stood out and was really thought about was when Auggie's sister oliver "Via said you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.
Another key message was "If you had the choice between being right and being kind choose kind.

Te tuhi

IALT:Reflect on a topic at te tuhi

Today at te tuhi today we were doing art our topics were about turangawaiwai.Turangawaiwai is a place where you can stand or where you belong and this is slide tells you about all the things that we did.

Tukana teina

Today we had tukana teina this is a day were you spend a entire day with each other to bond and get to know each other.

Today we made our names with candles and we drew our selves

Something I learnt was to bond with the younger generation so we can learn more about each other in many other ways and this an oppotunity to bond and bond and build stronger relationships.

Today We are learning how we stand as a person and getting to know our culture more.This task was mainly to help us gain strengeth in ourselves and it will help us beliven our culture and other cultrual diffrences

Technology Reflection

IALT:Reflect on technology 

Today we had our Technology.My group are in the food class this was our last rotation for the year.We made Rock cake.

Step one:1 1/2 cup of S.R.F

-1/2 c of sugar

-50 g of butter

-1 egg

-1/4 of milk

Step 2:mix well

Step 3:Spoon 8 Rock Cake onto Flat baking paper

Step 4:Put Rock Cake into oven for 15 minutes

Step 5:Take it out

Step 6:Put whip cream and Chocolate onto Rock Cake.

Step 7:Eat and Enjoy.

Something I learnt was how to build relationships with my peers and something else i learnt how to do is how to make Rock cake.This technology cooking group is good for ours futures.This group is for us to know to cook and provide for our family.Something else I have learnt is how to prepare things before you cook.

My one did not look like this it looked like Chocolate Chip cookies.But it was alright.I think because we didn't add enough milk.Also That is what I need to do next time focus on the steps.

How to make yoghurt

IALT:Reflect on the topic:How to make yoghurt.

On Wenseday we learnt how to make yoghurt.

Do you wanna know all the Steps and ingrediants?

Find out now.

The equitment you need will be:Yoghurt maker

Container/Lid

Boiled jug.

The ingridiants you will need will be:A Sachet of yoghurt and Tepid water.

The steps you will need to follow to be able to make your own yoghurt:

1:Pour Sachet into container Add warm water to halfway.

2.Shake container well

3:Fill Tepid water into container up  to the line and shake well again.

4.Place container into yoghurt maker.

5.Pour in hot water, Put lid on tight

6.Let's rest For 1Day(24 hours)

Eat Enjoy

When you finish following all the steps on how to make yoghurt this is what you put it into.

You wait 24 hours for it to cool down because there has been hot boiled water in it.If you wondering why you put boiled water instead of cold water? I will tell you why

They put hot water.They put hot/boiled water instead of cold because to cool it off and that way it is much nicer.

Something That I learnt was how to make yoghurt.AT first I thought that it would not take that long to make I thought it would take 30-60 to make but it didn't it takes a whole 24 hours.Something else I have learnt is how to prepare for the yoghurt.

SOme challenges I have faced have been is how to make the yoghurt by myself because sometimes I get messed up with all the kitchen equipment.Another challenge

was waiting 24 hours I know that 24 hours is not that long but to me it is.

Today we learnt this Indigenous game it is about focus and about challanging others.The steps for how to play this game are:1:Stand facing your opponent with hands on hips.

2:Player one says “Hei Tama,Tu tama and choose one action

3:Then player two says “Hei tama,Tu tama “And chooses a Different action you are now ready to start.

4:Both players say hei tama,tu tama while changing actions at the sametime

5:The winner is the first to notice if players are doing the same movie

Something I learnt was The 4 main things are and they are:

DLO:Dagmar Dyck Reserch

IALT:Research a famous Pacific artist.

Today we had two Sessions learning about tapa clothes and how how modern artiest are inspired by them today.

The sessions were short the sessions were about 10 minutes long.

We had to choose one person The artist I chose was Dagmar Dyke.

Something I learnt was that Dagmar Dyke she She received a diploma of fine arts in 1995.In 2014 Dyck received the Contemporary Artist Award at the Creative New Zealand Arts Pasifika Awards.

Some Challenges I have faced have been Trying to find background information because she wasn't really on the internet that much so I had to research as much as I could to find out about her.

Wellington makes it to Final's 2017

IALT: Reflect on a sport,club and team

WELLINGTON Lions in the Mitre 10 cup are going to the finals after a outstanding performance against the north land taniwha's The score was 49-21 it was a very good game to watch My favorite bit is when Julian Savea used his gas on the outside and offloaded to set up a try.Wellintion deserve to go to te finals because they worked hard throughout the whole season.

There is something To say about the Lions they are Unstoppable they are a outstanding team 1 team I like about the Wellington Lions is if one falls they all fall and that what I like in a team because they help each other out and show team work. I hope they play hard in the Mitre 10 cup final's

Some challenges I have faced was writing about the team because I have only known that team for a couple of years and I am still working on knowing the players and their skills and that was a big challenge for me.Another challenge was talking about the full game because I started watching the game and secound half but in my own opinion the 2 half was better than the first I think.

Something I learnt while reflecting on this task was learning about them and how they their skills have upgraded.Julian Savea I think he has gone a lot faster and a lot stronger and something I like about him is that he never gives up and he sticks to the plan.
