Cook Island Language week

IALA:The similarities between my culture and the cook island culture.

Today we got given a task The task was all about cook island language week It was a simple and fun task There a fact that I 100% already knew and that fact was ''That the 15 stars on the Cook Island flag represents the 15 islands that created the Cook Islands.Also did you know that The Colour blue represents on the Cook Island flag is the surroundings of the  ocean around the Cook Islands.It also repersents the calm and passive nature of the island inhabitants.

Cook Island Language is very similar to Maori Language
The way how it is very similar the number words sound the same.
There facts that I have learned today was:
1:That The capital is avarua.
2:The union jack represents the ties between the cook island united kingdom and the commonwealth.
3:And the last fact that I found interesting is that The official language on the Cook Islands is English, but many people speak Maori.

Technology reflection

IALT: Write about what I learnt and completed for Technology this week.

This week was our first week back to Technology for this term. It had been a  long 3 weeks since I last saw Mrs Ferguson so this week it was great to see our normal teacher once again. On the last week of Term 2 we had a different teacher, because Mrs Ferguson was away, it felt different because she didn't know what to do and we just ended up putting in more detail to our designs. 

Anyways this week I was extremely proud of myself for finally getting the oppurtunity to bring my design to life, meaning Mrs Ferguson scanned my work and had already made the pieces that I needed for my clock. I can't wait to start putting designs on my shield because I reckon my designs represent who I am as a person, a Maroon Loves, A believer in God, and a proud pacific islander. 

Working throughout the 2 hours I felt like I was way ahead of the others because well I utilised my time wisely and I didn't waste my time to talk to my friends, well only when they needed help and myself. Mrs Ferguson this week was very helping because she had time for everyone and she was well managed by creating a timetable that had the names of everyone in my group. 

Overall, I thought that this week's session was amazing and I can't wait to start painting  on my design. Something challenging I found was when I had to work on my design and add in more because I didn't want it to be a plain brown color.

The word of the week T3W1

WALT Choose a word of the week a word that you have learnt or heard from a story.

This task is about choosing a word that you want to learn about the word that I chose was hobby.I chose a image that relates to one of my hobbies and that is rugby.I play rugby in and outta school. 

My favourite super rugby team is the wellington hurricanes.That team is my favourite because most of my favourite rugby players are in that team for example Julian Savea,Beauden Barrett and nehe milner skudder.Also they are my favorite team because they are the best and they compete against the best and I think they will make it to the finals this year.

My favourite rugby team of all time is The ''ALL BLACKS'' 
Because they are the best team in the world but not just that all of my favourite team players are in there.The Lions series are awesome and it came out as a draw it was aa hard fight but they managed.

Yeah he is my inspiration he helps do my learning and he helps get better in sports everyday.I have met him before he loves children but the number one reason why he is my inspiration he because he plays the same sport that I do and he is the best wing in the world.Also he plays jonah lomu's position for the all blacks and for the hurricanes.

Baking.Baking is my favourite hobby for spirtual.It is my favourite because I get to learn  how to cook and bake and I can teach the younger generation what I have learnt.Baking is also my favourite hobby I get to eat what I have learnt and it is a good hobby as well.

Gaming helps your mind.you have to find strategies in the game to complete that mission or level.

It is a big hobby some people play 247 and some people never stop.Some people are very creative they play there games and explain about and put it on youtube and they can earn money outta that.Those people are called youtube gamers.

WALT:Make a personal connections to a given whakatauki.

Today I was give a tas.That task was called "Ko te WhakaTauki.
The whole point of the task is when you get given a quote for the day and you expand on it.Our WhakaTauki for this week was
"Moea he Tangata ringa raupa.In english translation that means Marry a harder working man calloused "calloused" is a metaphor for this quote.

Also this quote that we got given I would just like expand on it.Maoris did not like people that were lazy Maori people cleaned and made sure this surroundings were clean.

It also wasn't about the looks it is about there personality and how keep connect to you

Ko te Whakatauki o te wiki T2 Week10

      IALT:Make personal connections to a given Whakatauki
                                       

Today we were completing a whakatauki our Whakatauki for the day was "Kia Rere AU Ki Te Rangi

Tuhaha Kia Tau Atu au Ki Toku TauMata.

In english translation it means

"Let me soar to the heavens so that I may reach my potential.

and this Whakatauki will relate to me when I am struggling on a task.

Something I have learnt is that life is short so spend it in a good way and complete the most you can and a small saying is completing that jigsaw and never giving up.

The challenge in this task  was thinking of a quote because I had so many quotes that relates to this whakatauki. The quote I came up with was let me soar to the heavens so that I can reach my potential.

This is my quote and use depth into this quote and I created it so it was creative it really relates to the whakatauki. This really stands out because sometimes I struggle with different tasks and if I think of that whakatauki I am able to pick myself back up and complete the mission

              IALT:Reflect on what I have learnt and be creative.

                 

                       I have created a video for my sugar song.
    Me kenneth and curtis created this rap.This rap is about people         eat way too much sugar.People don't care about if it is healthy                   or not they care about if its tastes nice to them.

This is how much sugar some people eat."EATING THIS MUCH A WEEK IS A PROBlEM that is why we have to stop our familes and friends from eating this much suagr this can affect our body and also your future.You have to execise aswell that is the most inportnat thing to be healthy.

Sugar is a really bad thing because most people die under 30 form eating to much sugar.Something that I have learnt that sugar is a big cause and it could do a lot of damage to your body your future and it could hurt you family very bad like a bullet.

As I was saying in the beginning this is a video that Kauri and myself have created to persuade people to at least stop eating fizzy's and unhealthy things a day.

A challenge for me in this task is that People just 

watch their family's eat,eat and eat sugar each and everyday.This is a humongous problem for our community because they even watch babies eat it.Also I would to say that is a big cause.
